I'm not sure when SA:MP started supporting this, but there is a spectator mode that can be handy and useful in the types of GameModes that Grish has. Grish, when you have time, would you add spectator mode into your DM scripts rather than a waiting zone?

This model replaces the San Andreas Sparrow with Dr. Who's Tardis - in most episodes it's a time traveling device that just appears and disappears, but at times it is depicted to float about as it does in San Andreas.

You could probably replace any other chopper instead - I just haven't tried.
