I'd Like To Boot Straight Into X Windows

Do NOT perform the following 4 steps if you have been unable to get X Windows to start-up, using the 'startx' command!

- 1 -

At the command line (or in a shell) enter:

pico /etc/inittab

- 2 -

Change the 3 to a 5 in the line:

id:3:initdefault:

- 3 -

Save the file using Crtl+o and then exit using Ctrl+x.

- 4 -

Enter:

init 5
