WindowManager only ships with version 5.2 of Red Hat Linux so if you're still using a previous incarnation, then this section will not apply to you. I only use Red Hat Linux, so you'll have to check if you have it, if you're using a different Linux distribution.
Before you begin this tutorial, you are obviously going to need a theme to install. There are hundreds of excellent WindowManager themes for you to download at wm.themes.org - for now though I recommend downloading the Twister (201k) theme (a personal favourite).

Log-on as 'root' and enter:
cd ~/GNUstep/Library/WindowMaker- 2 -
Enter:
cp /twister.gz twister...replacing '/' if you downloaded the theme to somewhere other than in the root ('/') directory.

Enter:
tar -zxf twister- 4 -
Enter:
startx- 5 -
Right-click mouse on desktop and go to Appearance > Themes > Twister.

Right-click mouse on desktop again, and select Exit > Restart.
