[DRuG]NikT thinks again
[DRuG]NikT is one of the pioneers of this dance style... vintage 1993.
My assessment of this guy:
Good:
Smooth moves
He's actually vibing the music and timing himself to a degree - but this still goes in the bad column too coz he's not thumping his timing home... it's a bit off... When you dance like this, it's often a lot faster and you should be
nailing the timing even when it's fast - it's an indication you are "going off"
Cool outfit
He's not smashed?!?!
Moves are very tight (but that's a bad thing too, you need to be a bit messy if you're gonna be having fun)
Bad:
Looking at his feet
Self conscious
Not looking like he's having fun
Not looking at other dancers
Not with other dancers... point of this style is not to bust moves, but to lose yourself in the music then the moves are as creative as the track itself - indicator of bad music is repetitive moves (most of the best moves are conceived of on the spot to reflect what you're hearing - his moves look contrived)... which leads me to...
Repetitive moves - and what's with the Michael Jackson touches eg. Hat and Nut grabs!?
Lost in himself, not the music.
Not in time... he should look like a VU meter of the beats and other timing in the tracks.
Baaad mainstream rave track - this was the death of trance... example of a good track:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qprGPq2_Ew8 <--- he would not be able to shuffle to that track... I can while locking eyes with my friends and being off my head. Imagine him trying to stay in time to this:

Moves are very tight but he never leaves the ground?! Jump Arounnd Jump Arounnnd, Get up get up n get down.
Where's his talc!! His ankles won't last 10 minutes on that floor.
Congratulations... you just uncovered an area I don't talk much about... aint nothin' to it but to do it.
