New default forums theme: CarbonCopy

Well, it still needs the odd tweak to the stylesheets here and there, but it's a lot better than it was when I downloaded it from http://demo.phpbb3styles.net/CarbonCopy.

I've tried to include some of the tools and mods by the crew in this one.. if you have any suggestions of others I should include, let me know.

I hope everyone likes it.. if you don't, SimpleDarkPurple, the previous default theme, is still available in the user control panel, if you want to change back.

If you like the darker theme or using the prosilver styles as a base, I recommend checking out the proDark theme.

I loved the old theme; but this one is awesome too. I hope you'll change the "Sorry Pieces" for contact methods though <3 Or drop the icon of each respective service on top of them <3 Great skin, I was pleased when I stumbled in today

Yeh once I get these style sheets and panels right I'll do a hunt for better substitute images for the various areas.. the 'sorry' pieces included - I wonder if they chose them as a way of saying "sorry - we haven't got the balls to distribute other company's trademarks due to legal concerns".

About the only areas left white now are the post input form area and the search boxes... I guess it's good to leave them white for extra clarity while typing, and so the input areas stand out... ya think?

I've adjusted a lot of the form area backgrounds back to #111111 - that's the dark grey you'll see behind the emoticon buttons when you post.

A few other bits to do.. I don't like the white "new post" buttons etc... but the rest is pretty much how I like it... anyone have any areas they'd like to see tweaked? I'm thinking maybe also the user control panel tabs, tho they have a metallic finish.

I like the new theme, very impressive (especially the :hover styling for the forum links). New logo ftw Nitk it seems like all of those RSS forum links have dissapeared with the new theme If you're having any trouble with it, I could probably help you intergrate it into the new theme template.

Nah the RSS forum links are still there - they have only ever been listed on the wider areas, though - not individual threads, although any thread can be addressed as a feed if needed.. the syntax is covered in the thread in technical support that details all the mods currently installed - I'll leave it to you to find that one if you need, but as far as the general/area feeds, they are all still working and represented by the little orange rss logos next to each thread's description.

The RSS link for this area is:
syndication.php?count=10&fid=4&type=rss

?count=10&fid=4&type=rss is the bit telling it which area to feed & how many posts.
