I can explain an example with sound instead of light. When a cop car heads towards you, and goes past you, the pitch of the sound would lower as it crosses by. This is because as it heads towards you, the frequency of the sound is increased, and when it heads away from you the frequency of the sound is decreased, due to speed differences. Same thing happens to light.
I know my physics and relativity pretty well. I don't like to flame people though, maybe teach them but not flame.
Say... you understand this? I think I almost got it lol.

Heh, I suprisingly understood it quite well. Actually, it helped me further understand the dimentional concepts. The "flat-lander" thing is really good at helping poeple understand it, and the "folding the paper" may help people understand time travel. I've watched videos like this and read books which explain it numerous times before, but I got something new out of this one (finally understanding that the "infinite universe" theory is really the 5th Dimension
)
Dimension1 = Line
Dimension2 = Infinite lines or a Flat Plane
Dimension3 = Infininite lines of infinite lines
Dimension4 = Infinite number of those, or "time"
I like to think of 2D as a picture, and 4D as a video. That's how I explain it to people -- as each higher Dimension involves an infinite number of the previous Dimension, just imagine an infinite number of picture frames.
Dimension5 = Infinite number of universes, each with a different posibility and outcome of events (now THIS I finally understand after watching the video)
Dimension6 = etc, etc, etc. For some reason, it just seeps to simplisticly repeat itself hereafter. Each higher dimention being the same old thing, "an infinite number of the previous dimension."
But yes, very interesting stuff here. I've always had a deep interesting in physics and things of the sort.
