San Andreas Performance Tool 3.3

ABOUT
SAPT is a utility that allows you to tweak some important performance related settings in Grand Theft Auto San Andreas. To improve quality of gameplay, particularly on older systems or to help max out on higher end machines.

There are two versions included, for single player and multiplayer. The difference between the two being the frame limiter lock disabled on the multiplayer version, as this can give a player slight advantages in online play. Something we do not encourage.

IMPORTANT
SAPT only works with version 1.0 of Grand Theft Auto San Andreas.
Some anti-virus/spyware programs may detect the programs hotkeys dll as a keylogger, it is infact nothing of the sort.
A small ammount of users have reported SAPT slows their game down while running, once you have enabled your desired tweaks, simply close the program.

FEATURES
- Lock frame limiter to either 30, 40, 50 or 60.
- Disable visual effects including specular lighting, motion blur and heat haze.
- Increase realism of dynamic shadows or disable them completely.
- Reduce draw distance to extremely low settings that can't normmaly be accessed via the games options menu.

USAGE
SAPT and Grand Theft Auto San Andreas must both be running in order to activate any tweaks.
Once you are in game, you may either minimize and click a tweak you wish to enable or alternativly press its hotkey.
You may close SAPT after you have enabled any desired tweaks.

Lock frame limiter to 40 - CTRL+ALT+4

Enjoy 8-)

**edit from NikT 29/11/18 - Due to google reclassifying all mods to GTA as 'harmful', leaving the host flagged as a dangerous site, this was one of the many that is starting to vanish from everywhere - it is still available at the root of nikt.zog.net.au as SAPT3.zip.removed - this was timed around when a Melbourne game modder was before the courts for damages to Rockstar Games' newer, multiplayer worlds with their newer versions of GTA, hence, I suspect, is connected. Apologies. **

Yeh, slick... this has really proven to be popular mod - so simple yet so essential, it's amazing nobody has released something similar, well done.

Kinda not really in need of this myself, but it's awesome nonetheless.

This seems to be as cool of an app as the time Jacob fixed
the advanced menu crashes for us (at the time) 32MB NV go5200 users.

For the sake of it, could you guys show me what it does for your systems and gameplay?
I imagine that it would be pointless to frap-cap something, being as this fixes
performance issues, but some kind of demo is possible? Just that particularly interested is all m8 ;)

off topic: Loving this board and all of it's features!

Thanx & great to hear you guys like it!

Smallo, having custom key combo's is something I would certainly consider if I ever make a future version (prolly not anytime soon) and as for your question Jerz.

On my system it improves it greatly, I have 3GHz (HT), 512 Ram, 7200gs vidcard and without it on 800x600, settings on high I would get about 15fps. With SAPT and frame limiter disabled to see it max out I get around 60fps on 1024x768, high and anti-alising on 1x :)
