I've started listening to some of his music, which, though a little too fiercely forced by producers into the R&B category, is mostly the epic work I've come to expect from the fine people of Jamaica.. they have a vinyl production scene there that justifies it's existence even now for sticking with the oldskool.
If you read the previous paragraph & are thinking - all his stuff is commercial shite R&B, perhaps you've only heard his recent work, this link shows over about 10 minutes the range of subtle style differences he's covered, some of the lyrics even indicating why.
