i can't help but think that this article and behavious is due to iinet standing up against the government's new filter.

They have brought the company heavys against them to make them look like a bad company.

i really hope they don't get away with this, and taint iinet into looking bad.
To me, it looks like a prelude...
... so the govt can say "you're opposition to the filter is not valid because you allow your users to fileshare"


fucking arseholes.

In all seriousness though, accusing IINet like that really does seem like the gov trying to cover it arse for yet another stupid decision.

mmmmmmmmmmm......... so why aren't they sueing every isp in the world?

in fact, why dont they just abolish the internet? many people get pirate products via other means anyway. even if they tried to stop piracy, we would still find some way to cheat those big corporations with too much money out of their few measly dollars :mrgreen:
