From the GTAIV trailer.. what's this I see?

I would be awfully surprised if you couldn't fly them, would be a bit of a step down. Looks pretty awesome aye, I really hope it does come out on PC, even though I do have a 360

The rumour mill, prior to release of that trailer, was suggesting that they were going to forgoe planes in favour of realism... I really wish people on the rumour mill wouldn't just make shit up... Ah well, at least this trailer cleared up that one.

Actually, Rockstar confirmed that there would be no planes, or at least no drivable planes. It's not a rumour, it's a fact. Although you'll still get to play with helicopters. The fact that flying around in one city alone makes it inappropriate to have planes.

Well, with the ones in those shots, I guess we can only assume they have either done a 180 on that, or the planes are in there as animated scenery, like the dead dodo in 3/vice. My hope is, they at least have an easter egg way of flying the plane, much like in gta3. A lot of people, back then, missed the fact entirely that there was stuff in there for timing how long you managed to stay in the air and everything.
