My lil problem

Well whenever im in game and i look at my FPS from Xfire it says between 50- 100 now i know thats not normal, how can i fix?

also with having my FPS like that does it have anything to do with my ram bein at 73% in game too and 69% as i type this, maby clean pc out?
i have 1 gb ram btw so i donno

any help will be good

what the hell are you using xfire to measure FPS? use the program fraps, it really accurate, use that then if its MTA:race you won't get over 25, and in the DM it's unlimited I think.

I sorta forgot where my fraps.exe is placed so yeh, main problem is my ram being so high, and i noticed the FPS is normaler now lols ye im retarded at times.. u also scare kitty

Start Menu > Run > type msconfig > Startup tab
Get rid of anything you don't need. If you're unsure what one of those stuff are, leave it ticked.

Download Spybot Search and Destroy
Scan your computer for spyware or adware.

Restart your computer and recheck your RAM

for only 1 gig i think that a little high, but not that much, you probably have some spyware and maybe a virus. and the best anti-virus I have used is BitDefender and its free. get the free version here http://www.bitdefender.com/site/Downloads/

Never ever get 2 or more anti-viruses at the same time..
so as never get 2 or more firewalls at the same time.

You should turn the frame limiter on
GTA is just a crappy port of a console game, and it doesn't cope well with un-console like fps. 25-30 is your ideal frame rate.

RAM: Open up Task Manager and sort the process's list by "Memory Usage". Is there a program that seems out of the ordinary? (Like a supposedly small program taking up WAY too much memory). Another thing to do would be to clear Firefoxe's cache, as it seems to gather alot of crap.
