Hi this is [Dragon]Master and im showing interest. You'll see me often enough to get to know me but for many of you you already have. I have good stats and kindness but not to hackers. I want to be an admin because strangely every so often when the admins are gone, some hackers come and I can't do anything about it. If you pick me I will contribute to many things and help around.
Sorry to repeat my comments in the previous thread, but the answer really is equally perfect for both submissions...
Thanks for your interest mate, we will keep an eye on you and as the need arises, you will be considered for a position on the admin team.
Given the server is located in my apartment, including the box running the scripts, I see very clearly all activity on the server.. at this stage, most times, there is an admin present... typing !admins in game will tell you who they are.
Over time, naturally, these (helpful) people move on to start their own servers, or just stop playing for some reason. As this starts to happen, I notice very quickly from the complaints and consistent joining of people that I know are cheating. I guess what I'm saying is, you wont need to keep me informed of the admin presence on the server, I watch it like it's my child.
One final point worth noting...
You will only be considered as a member for the admin team when your own behavior is in line with what admins are there to maintain as a standard - this includes:
-
NO away from keyboard, even for 2 minutes (it destroys DM rounds and people's smooth start in races)
-
NO vote spamming - the purpose of a vote is to have people choose what
they want, not what
you want, and scrolls any "NEW RECORD" or time information out of the chat while racers are trying to read it.
-
NO stupid questions that one would expect an admin to already know the answer to/reasons for - part of an admin's job is to act as a role model to new users.
That last point doesn't mean you can't ask/learn things, just that you need to learn them before you can expect to be considered for admin membership.
It also helps to be aware that if you ask people questions during a race round, it is polite to let them finish their race before responding.
Asking questions at the start of a new round is cruel, as you tempt the helpful person to ruin their round/time by answering you... this sort of insensitive communication could be likened to the way cool people time when they speak when chilling & listening to good music with friends... those that yell over the good bits get frowned upon.
OK, that was a long, but I hope, helpful response.
