Multi-clanning is accepted in some clans, rejected by many.
In the rare cases it's accepted, the person is usually joining 1 clan while already a member of another.. and even then it is usually discussed prior, with the member.
In most cases where DRuG have accepted this, it has been to allow a person to further expand the community or their pursuits in some way that their existing clan cannot or will not provide.
This is more often the case with DRuG than most clans, due to our primary focus being modding, with a disorganized but common interest in driving/racing.
Since this doesn't allow people an avenue to war/dm, recruit or develop with strong timelines (another of our informal rules is we don't do this like a job - I already have one of those), often times DRuG members are also very active contributors to other crews, such that they can pursue things in new areas.
Given the above doesn't affect their level of contribution towards DRuG releases, I am more than happy to see this sort of thing going on.
But to multiclan from the outset? To me that seems like too much too soon - how can you possibly get to know peepz and contribute evenly with so much instigated at once? It comes off like you aint thought too seriously about what sort of crew really suits how you (intend) to play.
I'd suggest once you get to know the culture of the clans around you more thoroughly, you, and we, will have a better feel for where you belong.
In the meantime - I reckon it's important to remember there's a lot to be said for building your name and rep solo - if anything, untagged people get observed by clan leaders more closely IMHO.
*edit* And on many occasions, when that person plays solo for a long time, they often pinpoint a niche in the scene that is unfulfilled, and start their own crew.
