Post your bike

Thought it would be a good idea to list the bikes we've all owned/own.

I used to race for 2 BMX clubs, so I had quite a few good BMX bikes over time.. my main two were...

Mine had the comp III tubeless tyres just like this one, too - these aren't my photos - but this bike, you could pick up with your pinky.

When my microline got stolen, I got this one on insurance.. with regular comp 2 tyres... still a very light bike.

Recently I bought a new mountain bike.. This photo is actually my bike..

Mine was stolen (seriously) almost 10 years ago. Haven't had one since.

Mines a GREENEWHEELS electric bike:

The pic was taken when it was new, since then I've clocked up more than 5000 k on it. Also upgraded the crap disc brakes it came with to quality ones, and replaced the knobbly tires with road tyres, Schwalbe Marathon Plus, which are evidently really rugged and hard to puncture.

Does about 25 km/h without pedaling. Range was 50 km when the battery was new but the battery is a bit worn out now so its probably closer to 30km. This still gets me to work and back so thats OK.

Truly awesome - how much did it cost?

thanks, yeah its good fun!
It is a chinese no-name bike though (but reasonable quality parts for its type). If I was doing it over.. or if I got another one I'd get an entry level quality mountain bike with disc brakes, and fit a crystalyte electric hub kit to it, like from these guys:
http://www.e-mtb.com.au/
In fact I notice they use TREK bikes like Niks on their web page, evidently important to get one with a frame you know will fir the electric kit, otherwise it all starts getting really hard.
