OK, I thought this was pretty cool - some guy at Stanford Uni has made a tool to turn a standard 3d photo into a vrml/3ds scene... chek out the results I got from 30 seconds messing about with the following photo:
(right click and select play, assuming you have shockwave installed.
To view it now, in 3D, inside your web browser, you will need to accept the request to install the Cortona VRML viewer plugin... trust me.. its worth it... theres lots of cool VRML content out there...
