Well I bought a Nvidia Geforce 9600GT yesterday and am finding it very nice. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction guys :]

I got my HD3870 back yesterday after RMAing it 2 weeks ago.

They didnt repair the card, they replaced it with a faster preOCed version with a big arse cooler attached.

I don't seem to be able to control the fan on this one, but that doesnt matter as it actually does its job on it own this time.

It idles at 38 degrees and I've yet to see it go above 55 degrees, mostly it sits at 47 degrees when playing games.

The added bonus is now I can dual boot Ubuntu without worrying about slow arse fans letting my card cook.

Linux needs a GPU fan controller utility but for me, thats now a non issue

i dont know why people bitch about vista or 64 bit systems, its all worked fine for me!

I read an article the other day about some guy installing centOS 64bit and it screwing everything up, and he said he reverted back to centOS 32bit, so I think he's just a retard. This was for web servers too, lol.
