Recommend a good graphics card to me.

Recommend a good graphics card to me.
I'm in the process of acquiring new parts for my new Rig, and would like to hear your recommendations for a new graphics card. I don't have a shitload of money to spend, so I'm looking at those in the mid-range section.

My new PC parts so far.....

OS - Windows 7 Ultimate
Processor - Intel Core i7 2600k
Motherboard - ASRock Fatal1ty P67 Performance
Hard Drives - 8TB (4 x 2TB) Western Digital WD20EARS
PSU - Corsair TX850W
RAM - Corsair Vengeance 16GB (4 x 4GB) CMZ16GX3M4A1600C9 1600MHz

I still need to buy

GPU
CASE
DVD/RW
Floppy drive (need it for work)
Additional fans
Possibly a water cooled CPU cooler

I do not know the amount you want to spend.
I recommend an ATI radeon have a better price / performance.
Maybe a hd 7850.
Other things that you miss them you can choose from.
Use liquid cooling only if you want to enjoy a hard overcloking otherwise it's useless.
Change the cooling kit with a more powerful ;)

The 2600k does NOT need watercooling.
I own it and I have the Megahalems with 2 114.7 CFM fans on the side doing push-pull and it never goes over 65c.
And it's overclocked to 4.5ghz :D

Good choice in cpu btw.

Also what is your price range for a gfx card?

For a case I would reccomend the one I got http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6811163161
The only case that is vertical not horizontal (fucking genius, cause obviously heat rises :P) Best case ever.

£250 is the absolute max. I was thinking between £150 - 200.
This PC is already costing far too much as it is.
My mrs will go mental if she see's how much I've spent already.

For the record, my Asus ATI HD5850 1Gb DDR5 can still handle everything on full in any game I throw at it.

Yeah good luck with the stability of those things

I'v had 3 of them and all of them failed within 6 months, fast but unreliable.

If you're talking SSDs I've got one in my home PC, one in my wifes PC, and one each in my 2 work PCs.. all working fine no problems, all for 6-12+ months.

Brands used are Intel, OCZ, Corsair (and one fairly shitty SuperTalent).
My coworkers all have the same model OCZ.. no issue either.

What make/models have you seen the failures on? There must be some pattern with some people reporting repeated failures with SSDs, and others not having an issue. All my PCs are running Linux, but my coworkers run windows7.

It is quite important to make sure the SSDs are upgraded to the latest firmware I think.
