cheap ebay game box for the kids

Hi guys, server nerd ZOG here - I don't play much games except for a bit of Urban Terror on Linux, but have a question

I have some Thai nephews and nieces (all under 13?) Heading over to visit soon. Last time I gave them a pressie of some old laptops loaded with Linux games, but one promptly broke. They did like it until it died though.

This time I'm thinking of getting them a "fixed" XBOX off ebay loaded with games. They don't have any internet in the village, but they do have colour TV. This should keep them happy with fun stuff, without breaking the budget. Want to keep it under $50.
Of course I'll test the gear fully here before taking it over there.
Oh yeah, Thai power is 220V AC so once the plug is changed voltage not an issue.

Any ideas?

well I just scored an XBOX for $41 on ebay.. this game console stuff is all new to me so I'll give it a thorough workout plugged into the vivo plasma

Not fixed but I'll have a bash at doing the software method for it I think.

My better half was admonishing me a bit for getting such a timewaster for the rels.. before she sat down and spent 2 hours playing a rally car game
