New game controllers

Postby [DRuG]NikT on Sat Sep 17, 2011 11:34 am

I use PS2 gamepads as my weapon of choice - the left stick eventually dies on them, the springyness eventually giving out... and it's just happened again.

So today, I went to EB Games & discovered they no longer carry brand new PS2 controllers, but had a few second hand.. I bought them all (3) at $8 each. One of them is peculiarly awesome..

When you calibrate it, you add an extra step where you turn gmotion on, then calibrate it like a wii controller... then it gives you steering control according to the angle you're holding it on. :?

Cute 8)

u can use em.. I'm just not a fan of xbox controllers, tho I have 2 for pc.

I don't like the way you're kinda forced to use them with some games.

Lately I've been using a Logitech Wireless Gamepad F710, which I bought as backup to the PS2 controllers... it turned out to be really good..

Yeh I have a sixaxis, spare bt dongle & software to use it as a pc controller, but I don't like the triggers, they only do analog (ie. axis not 'buttons'), or at least on the software settings I used.

I've never broken a PS2 controller. On my PS3 controllers I pretty frequently wear out the grip on the sticks. But that's a new issue to me. Sometimes there's local game stores that aren't Gamestop or EB Games, though they're hard to find, and they still sell the older game controllers and such.
