nikt.ath.cx getting switched to business ADSL2+ @ Fixed IP

Postby [DRuG]NikT on Tue Jan 06, 2009 8:08 pm

Yup, we're moving to the business side of iinet - and I have to say, these guys are truly pro - on every level.

Some examples..

- The support queue.. it offers to call you back when it's your turn. (and, they explained, I will now receive the business priority support, which goes to the top of the queue and only the senior operators)
- The switch to business was seamless .. I asked for a fixed IP, they transferred me to..
- A realllly professional chick who explained everything after guaging my skill level, then explained the plans as I requested, weighing up the price versus download limits as compared to my current plan..
- She didn't try and force me up to the plan I was leaning toward, only another $30, but suggested I see how we go with 100GB and offered to increase later at no charge if it turns out we need it.

The total cost of the change from 65Gb day/65Gb night to 100Gb anytime with fixed IP and business grade link was...

wait for it....

$3

current plan naked dsl business 3 - $124.90 ADSL2+ speeds 100GB $124.90

We also have the option of adding Annex-M - a new high speed mode of ADSL2+ for iiNet Business broadband plans. For a one off cost of $49 you can add Annex M to your account and receive upstream data rates up to twice the current maximum (up to 2.75 Mbps). At this stage we're gonna see how it runs on the current setup, then switch to Annex-M maybe, later.

Yep. Happy.

Yup, I would highly recommend them..

I've just switched to our permanent IP and updated everything accordingly... those dyndns updaters really suck... I'm glad to be back on fixed IP, and I'm sure anyone attempting to access our servers will be too.

done.
I've just applied for iinet Naked DSL home 2.

I might be without internet access from this weekend until the 3rd of Feb though :(

but i'm sure it's gonna be worth the wait to get back online again.
