If you read it right through, it has news direct from SA-MP & MTA devs, so the moment they release, we know.

We're happy to announce a preview release of MTA: SA Deathmatch as a good start to the new year. As a new years resolution, we've decided to try much more frequent releases. We've said this before, but we've finally got a solid base to work from and a we're in a good position where you - the community - can give us valuable input.

Well it's that time folks..

We're happy to announce a preview release of MTA:SA Deathmatch as a good start to the new year. As a new years resolution, we've decided to try much more frequent releases. We've said this before, but we've finally got a solid base to work from and we're in a good position where you - the community - can give us valuable input.

Now this, I will believe when I see, but sounds like very good news if they stay true to it. MTA, as many of you may know, are a little slow on the old release. Head on over to the MTA:DM gangs register, and join the [DRuG] group (assuming you're a member or you'll just be removed).

With regards to setting up a DRuG server, I have an idea I would like to see discussed on the forums.. Currently I pay > $200 a year to keep all of DRuG's names and servers online... but we still don't have a decent professional server on which we can host games. I think it would be good if a group of us chipped in and got a server, possibly locally hosted in Australia... for use as an MTA race/DM/SAMP server... teamspeak could stay on my link since it's not used all the time.. but this would mean nice, low pings in Australia & the ability to have > 12 players in game with no lag.

If you're interested, please make a post @ http://forums.drugcrew.com - I don't wanna put a paypal donate icon up... I kinda hate advertising, but with the introduction of MTA:DM, I think adding another server to my home link is not the ultimate direction, though I'm not apposed to it.

See you in MTA:DM folks - I'll be on fearedgamers.net - 75.126.213.122:22003 - they have a DM server up & running... for ours, I suggest we wait a few days and get a better idea of what we want.

MTA:DM is failing for me, whenever i connect it sez downloading sum shit then it crashes to menu, then sez error again :'( and on some servers it just black screen then goes to menu any suggestions any help guys?

no chance of a temporary server? cause fearedgamers is chocka, and I can't join it because of it, and most other servers are empty. Just wanna experiment with it a little, work out commands etc.

im getting the same thing, guess we have to wait for a fix.

hmmmm, what I've found is that attempting to join a busy server it says that it failed to download required content, which could be the same as your problem, and the black screen thing seems to occur when a map is being changed.

i finally got on, but i'm looking for a solution to be able to use my controller in game.

If you have a keypad/joystick, get the software suite for it - speaking for the logitech rumblepad, it supports mapping to keys... and they're working well for me.

Expect lots of config changes as I experiment.. I've also added a monitor for it into LGSL and on the http://drugcrew.com left margin.

The admin console is at http://drug.kicks-ass.net:22005, I'm about to forward a port to it now... it will support stats etc. Yayy.
