Post your phone

Postby [DRuG]NikT on Fri Mar 06, 2009 11:57 pm

I just got a new cover for my phone, which has become a regular thing for me - I like having a shiny new screen, even tho I keep putting my keys in my pocket with it by accident. [SUSS]

Nokia 6120c classic - the current standard corporate phone @ my work.. if you don't want a Blackberry.

Nah they pay the billl too, and we have the option of a Blackberry Bold, but most go for the ultra minimal full functioned Nokia - ie. the 6120.. coz they don't want all the bullshit, just a simple, reliable phone with bluetooth - and for that, the 6120c, in my opinion, is the bees knees.

I have a Sony w910i, but it sits on the shelf coz with all it's flashy features, it doesn't perform as reliably doing bluetooth audio streaming... you have to fiddle with it all the time. The nokia, I go near my stereo & press play, noise comes out... sounds like no big deal rite? On most phone u would have to stand there for 2 minutes fiddling with the bluetooth settings every time.

ah. fair enough. i was never a fan of the walkman phones, but i guess mine is pretty much the same minus the 'w' label.. and possibly a 3.5mm jack. + my phones a tad chunky [EMBARASSED] do 6120's have a sd expansion slot? that would be the bomb.

oh, and that [evilmonkey] was for the on-screen keyboard.. i better go get my real keyboard back.

The 6120c uses micro sd (and has a well designed & solid door/eject mechanism)... I have a tin full of them - I use a2dp (streaming bluetooth audio) as my solution to play to both my car & home stereo - that way I can play stuff from my laptop or from my phone, but more importantly, I can continue listening to something from the car when I get inside.

I have a few sd sticks I store collections of podcasts and DJ sets I download onto, but I have my music arranged into directories on my computer each totaling the size of the sticks, with a date in their name - it's proving a great way to manually manage music I've liked at different periods, and makes sure it'll stay arranged that way.

I have the N73.

Been my fav phone so far, I used to go through 1 phone every few months. But this phone has nealy lasted a year :D

Ive dropped it in water, ridden over it on my bike, as well as had it fall out of my poket while running and see it bouncing down the Tarmac road multiple times  All its got is a slight scratch on the corner and that's it, phones a gem :)

I just replaced my N73 with an N96. I like the N96 a lot more. However, the last N73 I had lasted me about a year and a half, which is far longer than any other phone I had before hand. But yeah, it's completely rooted now. Wouldn't even turn on anymoar.
