They have something like this in New Zealand.

Weirder part, I thought, is that people wont cross when its orange/red.. I mean, I know technically you might get a ticket - if you're caught - but I've never seen that stop anyone until I went to NZ.

This was in Auckland.. city centre.. there definitely was one, and since I spent most of my time there just wandering around the city, I came to a few conclusions:

- There are sooo many asians... good for the economy as long as they go home.
- Nandos is expensive everywhere.
- Maori's are so fucking nice it's scarey.. like, literally scary, when a dude 5 times your size walks up to you with a grin on his face and says "how's it goin bro?"
- I was the only one walking on red/amber.

Edit: These are the lights I was thinking of in NZ...

cool, and yes, those lights are in aucks... and yes nandos is expensive everywhere...
and damn NikT, you must have good luck with maoris... in Hamilton (and auckland too), they're all pretty nasty - thankfully since i got a fuckoff beard and grew my hair long (and have a permanent scowl on my face) they leave me alone :geek:
Pacific Islanders/Tongans however are super nice - friendliest bunch o coloureds i ever did meet :D i have nothing but praise for them!

(if this sounded racist in anyway, then i apologise)

Thailand has traffic lights that are digital displays counting down to when they are going to change as well.. at least in big cities.

handy.

Oh man, worked in brisbane pubs for almost 5 years, can swear 80% of hospitality staff especially security are NZ natives. Good thing is that they are generally quite well assured of themselves, and very easy to get along with. Those are also their bad points lol. Could probably punch them in the face and they would be all like "oi why'd you hit me bro"
