Well, I'm back @ work today, so I spent a bit of time in shell transferring the full photo collection from our QLD trip into a gallery.

The girl is Zen, my girlfriend... The guy with the long hair is an ex of Zen's that turned out to be a top bloke.

Word of advice (on that topic) to other (jealous) boyfriends - if your partner wants to hook up with an ex, and they approach you to ask if both you & her can meet up with them, it would be unwise to say no -
at least by going along, you get to suss things out properly and understand the connection they have - in this case, it turned out the guy is awesome & they have no dodgy affair-type connection.

*amendment by Zen* Zen explains that although there was a rebound fling between her & Matt, the dominant theme in their relations has been friendship.

Nah we went to GOMA - Gallery of Modern Art - it was our main reason for being in Queensland in the first place. The Andy Warhol exhibition had stuff from all over the world together in the one place - and was only held in QLD... very very worth it, in the end.. though no photos to show, coz you aren't allowed to photograph anything inside the gallery.

Since I'm into dance parties n stuff, we first did the Melbourne cafe thing in the valley - at Fat <something i forgot in the second half of the name, but some cafe in the mall in the valley>, then went to The Beat, which had some techno night on... more the candy pants raver style, though, which was possibly a little harder than we were looking to party on ourr first night... I think we're spoilt here in Melbourne with the range of techno nights available on a given Friday... but was interesting to see the new (twisted) QLD drinking/smoking rules in action.. You can smoke in one area, but not drink there, at one point a single outdoor courtyard is half zoned no smoking, drinking permitted, and half zoned no drinking, but smoking permitted. I got the bright idea to ask the bouncer if having 1 arm in each area was on, by demonstrating to him.. got the shaking head and frown.. guess not. Weeeird.
