my cd drive is stuck, it wont open, i used it this morning, and then when i got home, it wont open, and now it will not open at all, and it keeps coming up with an error when i try and eject it, the error says
there was an error with trying to eject the cd/dvd-rw drive, any help, and i have tried with a pin to open it

ok, i got it open, but my button dont work and i cannot open it from my computer either

its worth mentioning that this machine is a laptop, and i would agree that the drives eject button or mechanism has failed, and it needs replacing.
I don't even know what we do, what are we, like a bus or something?

Yeah i would not recommend pulling your laptop apart yourself unless you're as handsome and as daring as me, AT LEAST.

It should pop right out as one unit (so you can put other things like floppy drives in the slot).
Once you get a new one, just mind the way it is stuck in there and it should be a snap to pop out and back in.
