ALRIGHT! I am a music man too, so we'll have plenty hands when the
going gets rolling, I'll let you guys wrestle for the sound team lead :P

Get over to the GTAF topic and show K^2 we mean business, I think
he is going to be our code lead, seeing as how currently it's his engine.
CCT engine sounds awesome. He says he created it to be "better than
GTA" And we all know what happened the last time someone said that:

i have done some C++ before but only enough to make a crappy 2d text game and that was done by using a tut. i have done some 3d modeling and made an alien but that was with a tut too. And well gta mods, i havent really done that much, most of it has been done using MTA's scripting system (Lua). I would just like to help out in anyway that i can. would love to have a reason to learn C++ or do some modeling. I have all around skills at most things to do with computers.

And if we were to get this off the ground and into the ranks of a company, what do you think it should be called?

Too early for a name. Right now, though, this is The Empty Project.

I hope you all like the name, and I hope it is inspiring.

There's always a reason to learn, and I had already hoped to
use C++/D3D9, not sure what K^2's engine is coded in, but
whatever, if it is what it's cracked up to be, it won't matter.

I also hoped to incorporate LUA scripting for our "scm" and "script.img",
or the equivalents of those files (both because I hope to support
external scripts and modding, and LUA is apparently easy enough for
anyone working on a game to learn and work with).

An MMO would be fucking sick, right? Like GTA-MP mods, but
built for it, to serve many more people. Right now though, all
of this speculation leads us in circles, the main thing is to get
to work on setting your mind. This is indeed a good reason to
start learning to code C++, especially if K^2's engine is C++,
as he is very busy and can do more high level stuff if he has
a team of coders with him, whom he could help with anything
they need help with as well.

Caught up with REspawn. He shared with me brilliant things as well
as caught me up, and he's doing well for himself, quite awesome.
He let me privvy to a WIP section of a site for the next big thing
in GTA Modding, and I assure you, he has something Grand in
store for those of us who follow and utilize his work. GTA modding
is not near seen the greatness that awaits, god-thingy bless
REspawn. He says he can help with advice, he is a pro now.

If you yearn to learn about something, Now is the time. We
won't have a company name until the papers are signed. That
goal is incentive, and Google and Microsoft started in garages.

Perfect timing, just had that discussion.

C/C++ and OpenGL, said he can compile to DX upon a user's request
in so few words. Great smallo! I've been meaning to come on MSN
and talk with you btw, should PM me with some of your ideas about
online etc, we haven't spoken about any of that yet.

Here's an idea we've just been throwing around, he says he can make it
happen, and so much more, he was very elaborate. I through this very
fast representation together, have yet to hear his reaction yet :D

Think "GTA: Spore" World boundaries are the earth's magnetosphere.


physics grav = xref'd to 0,0,0 along a radial axis, not up and down with X.

I have been thinking about this for YEARS, even before spore, just can't program in code :P
